Jenny Sofian is the Chief Executive Officer at Fullerton Fund Management Company Ltd, where she is responsible for strategic development and management of the firm. With over two decades of experience in the asset management industry, Jenny has held various leadership roles, including her previous position as CEO and Head of South Asia at Amundi Singapore. There, she oversaw the company's Southeast Asian and Australian operations and served as the Regional Director of Southeast Asia at the Group Level Executive Committee. Jenny’s career started in managing insurance funds for the Insurance Corporation of Singapore. Her active involvement in industry bodies has positively influenced and shaped the asset management industry. As the current Chairman of the Investment Management Association of Singapore and a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Financial Centre Advisory Panel, Jenny has demonstrated her commitment to advancing the industry. She also serves as a director of The Institute of Banking and Finance and was conferred the IBF Fellow award in 2020. In addition, Jenny sits on the advisory board of the Singapore Green Finance Centre, showcasing her dedication to sustainability and the environment. Jenny's remarkable achievements have been recognised with numerous awards and accolades, including the Lifetime Achievement Award by Asia Asset Management and IBF Distinguished Fellow by The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore. She earned her BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from San Diego University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Jimmy Phoon is the Executive Director and CEO of Seviora Holdings, and the CEO of Seviora Capital. He was formerly the CEO of SeaTown Holdings International from 2010 to 2020. Before SeaTown, Jimmy was the Senior Managing Director, Head of Strategy at Temasek Holdings. Prior to joining Temasek in 1999, Jimmy was with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Asia Limited (“SCMBA”). In his eight years with SCMBA, he managed several initial public offerings, public takeovers, mergers & acquisitions and corporate restructurings. From 1988 to 1992, Jimmy was a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Finance of Singapore, where he was responsible for the formulation of corporate and international tax policies. Jimmy is a director of the Health Sciences Authority, and a member of Nanyang Technological University's Board of Trustees and Chairman of its Investment Committee. He is also Chairman of Azalea Asset Management and a director of Innoven Capital and SeaTown Holdings. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) degree from Monash University, Australia.

Tan Huck Khim is Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Alternatives at Fullerton Fund Management. He works closely with Fullerton’s Chief Investment Officer to manage the Investment Group and oversee portfolios and is part of the CIO office. As Head of Alternatives, Huck Khim leads the team and has oversight of all the private market portfolios. He also oversees the team’s investment process, and its suite of solutions. Prior to joining Fullerton in 2019, Huck Khim worked for Credit Suisse's Customised Fund Investment Group as a Partner on the Global Investment Committee, managing and investing private equity assets on behalf of its international institutional clients. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was the Head of Asian Funds Investments at Schroder Ventures Group, having raised and invested in Asian private equity opportunities. Before Schroders, Huck Khim was an Associate Director of Private Equity Funds at Hermes Private Equity, where he was responsible for managing capital for some of the largest UK pensions. Huck Khim started his career with Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Special Investments where he was involved in investing in private equity funds and co-investments in Europe. Huck Khim graduated with a degree and a Masters in Economics from the Karl-Ruprechts Universitaet, Heidelberg, Germany.

Biography

Rohit Sipahimalani joined Temasek in 2008 as Head of Telecom, Media & Technology investments. In 2012, he was appointed co-Chief Investment Officer and has since held various roles including Joint Head for Investment Group, Joint Head of Portfolio Strategy & Risk Group as well as Head, India before assuming his current position in January 2022.   Prior to joining Temasek, Rohit spent 11 years with Morgan Stanley holding senior positions across its Mumbai and Hong Kong offices, including Co-Head of the Asia Pacific M&A business in Hong Kong, before his appointment as Managing Director and Head of South East Asia Investment Banking in Singapore. Rohit started his career with Citibank, Mumbai, after which he spent a few years with McKinsey & Company in India as a management consultant, before he joined Morgan Stanley. Rohit holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He graduated from St. Stephens College, Delhi with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics.

Ken is CIO at Fullerton Fund Management. He sets the strategic direction for the investment team and is responsible for overseeing the investment performance of all portfolios. Ken also manages Fullerton’s Global Absolute Alpha, Asia Focus and Asia Absolute Alpha Equities strategies. Ken joined Fullerton in 2017 as Head of Equities and was additionally appointed Deputy CIO in 2020. He was previously CEO of CIMB Principal Asset Management’s Singapore office. He was also concurrently Regional CIO and Regional Head of Equities. Before he joined CIMB Principal in 2007, he held various senior positions in APS Asset Management, MeesPierson Private Bank, Allianz Dresdner Asset Management and Philip Capital Management. Earlier in his career, Ken worked at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC). Ken graduated from National University of Singapore with a First-Class Honours in Business Administration. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Prashant Bhayani is the Chief Investment Officer, Asia of BNP Paribas Wealth Management based in Singapore. Prashant joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in January 2016 from J.P. Morgan Private Bank where he was a Senior Global investment Specialist in Singapore. Before that, he was co-Chief Investment Officer, co-Founder, Managing Partner of Cork Street Capital Advisors, a global equity alternatives firm based in London. Prashant also was Head Portfolio Manager of International and European Equity Specialist Strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London for nearly a decade before founding Cork Street Capital. He had also worked in premier global financial institutions to provide global multi-asset class solutions across a variety of global market cycles including Russia and Asia crisis, internet bubble, great financial crisis, and the pandemic. Prashant is a highly accomplished professional who brings over 30 years of experience across asset classes in equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternatives having worked in Asia, United Kingdom and the United States. Prashant received a BA in Economics at Northwestern University in Evanston in 1991 and a MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France in 1997.

In his role, he is responsible for communicating our house views to clients, consultants and the media.  Robert joined Fullerton in 2020 from BP, where he was a Macro-Econometrician in the integrated Supply & Trading Group. Prior to that, he was with GIC for 10 years as a Macroeconomist/Strategist in their Economics and Fixed Income department. He was also with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Reserve Bank of New Zealand in the earlier years of his career.  Robert graduated from the Victoria University of Wellington with a Master’s Degree in Commerce and Administration (Economics).

Professor Simon See is currently the Solution Architecture and Engineering Director, Chief Solution Architect and Global Head for NVIDIA AI Technology Center, NVIDIA Corporation.   He is also an Adjunct Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Conventry University, and Universitas Indonesia (UI) and Newcastle University in Singapore.  He is also a distinguished fellow in Fudan University.  Previously Professor See is also the Chief Scientific Computing Advisor for BGI (China) and has a position in Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and King-Mong Kung University of Technology (Thailand). Professor See is currently involved in a number of International computational,  mathematical science  projects and  national AI initiatives.   Recently Professor  Simon has been appointed as the Executive Director of the ASEAN Applied Research Centre (AARC).   His research interests are in the area of High-Performance Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Science,  Applied Mathematics and Simulation Methodology.    Professor See is also leading some of the AI initiatives in Asia Pacific. He is a Steering Committee member of NSCC’s flagship High Performance Computing Conference Supercomputing Asia (SCA) since March 2018. He has published over 200 papers in these areas and has won various awards in the field. Professor See is a Fellow member of IET, Chairman of TaskForce of IEEE’s CIS Neural Networks Technical Committee, a member of SIAM, IET, AAAI, SCS, and also on the Advisory Team of AIP (AI Professional Association), International Advisory Board of Institute of Operations Research & Analytics (IORA), Advisory Team of Machine Intelligence and Data Analytics Research Centre (MIDARC), School of Computing Sciences (India) and Board of Studies, MS Tech Programs of Mahindra University, Editorial Board Member of Journal of Computational and Cognitive Engineering (JCCE), The Industry Advisory Committee for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in Real-time Interactive Simulation and Interactive Media and Game Design at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and the committee member of more than 50 conferences. Professor See graduated from the University of Salford (UK) with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and numerical analysis in 1993.   Prior to joining NVIDIA, Professor See worked for SGI, DSO National Lab. of Singapore, IBM, International Simulation Ltd (UK), Sun Microsystems and Oracle.  He is also providing consultancy to a number of national research and supercomputing centers.

Weihan is a Portfolio Manager in the Alternatives team at Fullerton Fund Management. ​ Prior to joining to Fullerton in 2022, Weihan was a portfolio manager with Fedesa Asia Advisory, a European single Family Office, for more than eight years.  Weihan primarily covered middle-market Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) funds across all geographies and was the main manager responsible for all of Fedesa’s PE and VC fund investments in Asia. Weihan was previously a funds investment professional at Adams Street Partners and started his career as a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst at DBS Bank Ltd. Weihan holds a Bachelor of Business from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. He is also a CFA charterholder. ​

Srini joined British International Investment in 2013 to lead the Asia team under the organisation’s new investment strategy. He has the distinction of having been our first overseas employee and recently moved to Singapore to lead BIIs expansion into the Indo-Pacific region. He has been instrumental in building a high-quality portfolio in the region, which focuses across products and sectors. Under his leadership, BII has a strong presence on the ground and the team has made successful investments in the financial services, healthcare, logistics and renewable energy sectors – including the creation of BII subsidiary Ayana Renewable Power in India, a pioneer renewable energy developer. His role includes support in the origination, execution and management of the portfolio for delivering development goals and value. In addition, he is building BII’s presence in the South-East Asian markets with a focus on climate change. Srini started his career with Standard Chartered Bank, both in India and Southern Africa, before joining British International Investment in 1996. He has managed leasing companies in Africa and in India he managed legacy assets for value before moving into mainstream private equity investing for both British International Investment and Actis. He has a Masters degree in Economics and a post-graduate qualification in Business Administration from Warwick School of Business.

Nadegda (Nadja) Kolesinski is Director Singapore Office with KfW DEG - The German Investment and Development Corporation. DEG offers financing, advice and support to private sector enterprises operating in developing and emerging-market countries globally. Since 2024 in her current role Nadja leads business origination across sectors looking into infrastructure and corporate sector opportunities as well as intermediaries like financial institutions and private equity funds in the whole SEA region. During her 15 years with DEG she held various roles including managing a debt portfolio in Eastern Europe, investing into private equity opportunities in Asia and supporting companies on managing their ESG risks or transitional endeavors globally. Nadjas passion for Asia began during her studies of Economics and Politics of East Asia in Germany and China and continued throughout her previous professional experience i.e. with HSBC, Henkel in Shanghai or her academic pursuits.

Viola leads a team on sustainable investment strategy and integration for GIC, a leading global investment firm. Her research areas include climate solutions, decarbonisation pathways, transition finance and carbon markets. She began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley where she covered power, utilities and infrastructure and completed over USD 80Bn of M&A and capital markets transactions. Subsequently Viola was an Investment Analyst at Victoire, a multi strategy hedge fund, managing its Emerging Asia Small- and Mid-cap strategy. Prior to GIC, Viola focused on energy transition fund strategy, corporate M&A and new market expansion at Fullerton Fund Management.   Viola holds dual Bachelors in Business Administration and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a PhD candidate in Sustainable Finance at Oxford University.

Amanda is Head of Sustainability at Fullerton Fund Management. She leads the Sustainability team and is responsible for developing the firm’s sustainability policies and setting the firm’s ESG research, integration and active ownership agenda.​ Amanda joined Fullerton in 2020. She was previously at GIC as a portfolio manager for 4 years and prior to that, as an associate at BlackRock for 3 years. She also did stints in the impact space, with Planet Finance in China and the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network in Singapore.​ Amanda holds a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University. She is a CFA charterholder and holds the SASB's Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential.

Simon Tay is a public intellectual as well as an advisor to major corporations and policy-makers. He is Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, the country’s oldest think tank. The SIIA focuses on the politics, economic policies and sustainablity issues that matter to policy makers and corporations in ASEAN and Asia. Consistently ranked by an international survey within the top 50 of the world and amongst the best in ASEAN, the SIIA is also rated the No 1 independent think tank across all of Asia. Concurrently, he serves Singapore in a number of public appointments and as Ambassador for Singapore, presently accredited to Greece on a non-residential basis. He is a board member of the Maritime Port Authority and also chairs the trade and sustainability dialogues for free trade agreements that Singapore has with the European Union and UK. The public appointments include Chairman of the National Environment Agency (2002-08); Expert and Eminent Person in the ASEAN Regional Forum (2002–2019); independent Member of Parliament (1997-2001); and to coordinate the country’s equivalent of the Peace Corps (1990-93). He co-chaired a number of national public commissions such as Singapore 21, the Singapore Green Plan and the Singapore Concept Plan 2010. In 2006, he received a National Day Award. Additionally, Mr Tay is a tenured Associate Professor, teaching since 1995 at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law with a focus on international law. He has also taught as visiting professor at Harvard Law School, the Fletcher School and Yale University. Another aspect of Prof Tay’s work is to advise major corporations. Currently, he is Senior Consultant at WongPartnership, a leading Asian law firm and currently serves on the board of Certis Cisco as a Non-Executive Independent Director. He graduated in law from the National University of Singapore (1986), where he was president of the student union for three terms. He also holds a Masters in Law from Harvard Law School (1993-94), which he attended on a Fulbright Scholarship and where he won the Laylin prize for the best thesis in international law.

Ziad Haider is a Partner and Global Director of Geopolitical Risk at McKinsey & Company based in Singapore. He counsels boards and leaders of multinational corporations on how to build out their capabilities to understand, monitor, and mitigate geopolitical risk. Prior to joining McKinsey, he served in a range of senior roles in the U.S. Government. He served as Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State supporting U.S. businesses globally on managing market access, political, and regulatory risks; Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State on geo-economics; a White House Fellow in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice; and a Foreign Policy Aide in the U.S. Senate. He practiced international law in India, Singapore, and Washington, D.C. advising on export control and sanctions issues and cross-border investment disputes and worked with human rights organizations in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan. His writings have appeared in the Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and Nikkei Asia. Haider serves on the board of advisors of the International Rescue Committee, a leading global humanitarian and development organization, and is a non-resident senior advisor with the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS). Haider received his B.A. from Yale College, M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School, and J.D. from Georgetown Law and was a Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia. Proficient in Mandarin and French and fluent in Urdu, he grew up in Karachi, Pakistan.

Amanda is Head of Sustainability at Fullerton Fund Management. She leads the Sustainability team and is responsible for developing the firm’s sustainability policies and setting the firm’s ESG research, integration and active ownership agenda.​

Amanda joined Fullerton in 2020. She was previously at GIC as a portfolio manager for 4 years and prior to that, as an associate at BlackRock for 3 years. She also did stints in the impact space, with Planet Finance in China and the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network in Singapore.​

Amanda holds a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research from Columbia University. She is a CFA charterholder and holds the SASB’s Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential.

Chong Weihan

Weihan is a Portfolio Manager in the Alternatives team at Fullerton Fund Management. ​

Prior to joining to Fullerton in 2022, Weihan was a portfolio manager with Fedesa Asia Advisory, a European single Family Office, for more than eight years.  Weihan primarily covered middle-market Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) funds across all geographies and was the main manager responsible for all of Fedesa’s PE and VC fund investments in Asia. Weihan was previously a funds investment professional at Adams Street Partners and started his career as a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst at DBS Bank Ltd.

Weihan holds a Bachelor of Business from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. He is also a CFA charterholder. ​

Jenny Sofian

Jenny Sofian | Chief Executive Officer, Fullerton Fund Management

Jenny Sofian is the Chief Executive Officer at Fullerton Fund Management Company Ltd, where she is responsible for strategic development and management of the firm.

With over two decades of experience in the asset management industry, Jenny has held various leadership roles, including her previous position as CEO and Head of South Asia at Amundi Singapore. There, she oversaw the company’s Southeast Asian and Australian operations and served as the Regional Director of Southeast Asia at the Group Level Executive Committee. Jenny’s career started in managing insurance funds for the Insurance Corporation of Singapore.

Her active involvement in industry bodies has positively influenced and shaped the asset management industry. As the current Chairman of the Investment Management Association of Singapore and a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Financial Centre Advisory Panel, Jenny has demonstrated her commitment to advancing the industry. She also serves as a director of The Institute of Banking and Finance and was conferred the IBF Fellow award in 2020. In addition, Jenny sits on the advisory board of the Singapore Green Finance Centre, showcasing her dedication to sustainability and the environment.

Jenny’s remarkable achievements have been recognised with numerous awards and accolades, including the Lifetime Achievement Award by Asia Asset Management and IBF Distinguished Fellow by The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore.

She earned her BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from San Diego University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Jimmy Phoon

Jimmy Phoon is the Executive Director and CEO of Seviora Holdings, and the CEO of Seviora Capital. He was formerly the CEO of SeaTown Holdings International from 2010 to 2020.

Before SeaTown, Jimmy was the Senior Managing Director, Head of Strategy at Temasek Holdings. Prior to joining Temasek in 1999, Jimmy was with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Asia Limited (“SCMBA”). In his eight years with SCMBA, he managed several initial public offerings, public takeovers, mergers & acquisitions and corporate restructurings. From 1988 to 1992, Jimmy was a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Finance of Singapore, where he was responsible for the formulation of corporate and international tax policies.

Jimmy is a director of the Health Sciences Authority, and a member of Nanyang Technological University’s Board of Trustees and Chairman of its Investment Committee. He is also Chairman of Azalea Asset Management and a director of Innoven Capital and SeaTown Holdings.

Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) degree from Monash University, Australia.

Ken Goh

Ken is CIO at Fullerton Fund Management. He sets the strategic direction for the investment team and is responsible for overseeing the investment performance of all portfolios. Ken also manages Fullerton’s Global Absolute Alpha, Asia Focus and Asia Absolute Alpha Equities strategies.

Ken joined Fullerton in 2017 as Head of Equities and was additionally appointed Deputy CIO in 2020. He was previously CEO of CIMB Principal Asset Management’s Singapore office. He was also concurrently Regional CIO and Regional Head of Equities. Before he joined CIMB Principal in 2007, he held various senior positions in APS Asset Management, MeesPierson Private Bank, Allianz Dresdner Asset Management and Philip Capital Management. Earlier in his career, Ken worked at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC).

Ken graduated from National University of Singapore with a First-Class Honours in Business Administration. He is also a CFA charterholder. 

Nadejda Kolesinski

Nadegda (Nadja) Kolesinski is Director Singapore Office with KfW DEG – The German Investment and Development Corporation. DEG offers financing, advice and support to private sector enterprises operating in developing and emerging-market countries globally.

Since 2024 in her current role Nadja leads business origination across sectors looking into infrastructure and corporate sector opportunities as well as intermediaries like financial institutions and private equity funds in the whole SEA region.

During her 15 years with DEG she held various roles including managing a debt portfolio in Eastern Europe, investing into private equity opportunities in Asia and supporting companies on managing their ESG risks or transitional endeavors globally.

Nadjas passion for Asia began during her studies of Economics and Politics of East Asia in Germany and China and continued throughout her previous professional experience i.e. with HSBC, Henkel in Shanghai or her academic pursuits.

Prashant Bhayani is the Chief Investment Officer, Asia of BNP Paribas Wealth Management based in Singapore. Prashant joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in January 2016 from J.P. Morgan Private Bank where he was a Senior Global investment Specialist in Singapore.

Before that, he was co-Chief Investment Officer, co-Founder, Managing Partner of Cork Street Capital Advisors, a global equity alternatives firm based in London. Prashant also was Head Portfolio Manager of International and European Equity Specialist Strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London for nearly a decade before founding Cork Street Capital. He had also worked in premier global financial institutions to provide global multi-asset class solutions across a variety of global market cycles including Russia and Asia crisis, internet bubble, great financial crisis, and the pandemic.

Prashant is a highly accomplished professional who brings over 30 years of experience across asset classes in equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternatives having worked in Asia, United Kingdom and the United States. Prashant received a BA in Economics at Northwestern University in Evanston in 1991 and a MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France in 1997.

Robert St Clair

Robert is the Head of Investment Strategy at Fullerton Fund Management and reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer. He works closely with the CIO to formulate and drive our global investment strategy across asset classes. In his role, he is responsible for communicating our house views to clients, consultants and the media. 

Robert joined Fullerton in 2020 from BP, where he was a Macro-Econometrician in the integrated Supply & Trading Group. Prior to that, he was with GIC for 10 years as a Macroeconomist/Strategist in their Economics and Fixed Income department. He was also with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Reserve Bank of New Zealand in the earlier years of his career. 

Robert graduated from the Victoria University of Wellington with a Master’s Degree in Commerce and Administration (Economics).

Rohit Sipahimalani

Rohit Sipahimalani joined Temasek in 2008 as Head of Telecom, Media & Technology investments. In 2012, he was appointed co-Chief Investment Officer and has since held various roles including Joint Head for Investment Group, Joint Head of Portfolio Strategy & Risk Group as well as Head, India before assuming his current position in January 2022.
 
Prior to joining Temasek, Rohit spent 11 years with Morgan Stanley holding senior positions across its Mumbai and Hong Kong offices, including Co-Head of the Asia Pacific M&A business in Hong Kong, before his appointment as Managing Director and Head of South East Asia Investment Banking in Singapore.

Rohit started his career with Citibank, Mumbai, after which he spent a few years with McKinsey & Company in India as a management consultant, before he joined Morgan Stanley.

Rohit holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He graduated from St. Stephens College, Delhi with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics.

Simon See

Professor Simon See is currently the Solution Architecture and Engineering Director, Chief Solution Architect and Global Head for NVIDIA AI Technology Center, NVIDIA Corporation.   He is also an Adjunct Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Conventry University, and Universitas Indonesia (UI) and Newcastle University in Singapore.  He is also a distinguished fellow in Fudan University.  Previously Professor See is also the Chief Scientific Computing Advisor for BGI (China) and has a position in Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and King-Mong Kung University of Technology (Thailand).

Professor See is currently involved in a number of International computational,  mathematical science  projects and  national AI initiatives.   Recently Professor  Simon has been appointed as the Executive Director of the ASEAN Applied Research Centre (AARC).   His research interests are in the area of High-Performance Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Science,  Applied Mathematics and Simulation Methodology.    Professor See is also leading some of the AI initiatives in Asia Pacific. He is a Steering Committee member of NSCC’s flagship High Performance Computing Conference Supercomputing Asia (SCA) since March 2018. He has published over 200 papers in these areas and has won various awards in the field.

Professor See is a Fellow member of IET, Chairman of TaskForce of IEEE’s CIS Neural Networks Technical Committee, a member of SIAM, IET, AAAI, SCS, and also on the Advisory Team of AIP (AI Professional Association), International Advisory Board of Institute of Operations Research & Analytics (IORA), Advisory Team of Machine Intelligence and Data Analytics Research Centre (MIDARC), School of Computing Sciences (India) and Board of Studies, MS Tech Programs of Mahindra University, Editorial Board Member of Journal of Computational and Cognitive Engineering (JCCE), The Industry Advisory Committee for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in Real-time Interactive Simulation and Interactive Media and Game Design at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and the committee member of more than 50 conferences.

Professor See graduated from the University of Salford (UK) with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and numerical analysis in 1993.   Prior to joining NVIDIA, Professor See worked for SGI, DSO National Lab. of Singapore, IBM, International Simulation Ltd (UK), Sun Microsystems and Oracle.  He is also providing consultancy to a number of national research and supercomputing centers.

Simon Tay

Simon Tay | Chairman, Singapore Institute of International Affairs

Simon Tay is a public intellectual as well as an advisor to major corporations and policy-makers.
He is Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, the country’s oldest think tank. The SIIA focuses on the politics, economic policies and sustainablity issues that matter to policy makers and corporations in ASEAN and Asia. Consistently ranked by an international survey within the top 50 of the world and amongst the best in ASEAN, the SIIA is also rated the No 1 independent think tank across all of Asia.

Concurrently, he serves Singapore in a number of public appointments and as Ambassador for Singapore, presently accredited to Greece on a non-residential basis. He is a board member of the Maritime Port Authority and also chairs the trade and sustainability dialogues for free trade agreements that Singapore has with the European Union and UK. The public appointments include Chairman of the National Environment Agency (2002-08); Expert and Eminent Person in the ASEAN Regional Forum (2002–2019); independent Member of Parliament (1997-2001); and to coordinate the country’s equivalent of the Peace Corps (1990-93). He co-chaired a number of national public commissions such as Singapore 21, the Singapore Green Plan and the Singapore Concept Plan 2010. In 2006, he received a National Day Award.

Additionally, Mr Tay is a tenured Associate Professor, teaching since 1995 at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law with a focus on international law. He has also taught as visiting professor at Harvard Law School, the Fletcher School and Yale University.

Another aspect of Prof Tay’s work is to advise major corporations. Currently, he is Senior Consultant at WongPartnership, a leading Asian law firm and currently serves on the board of Certis Cisco as a Non-Executive Independent Director.

He graduated in law from the National University of Singapore (1986), where he was president of the student union for three terms. He also holds a Masters in Law from Harvard Law School (1993-94), which he attended on a Fulbright Scholarship and where he won the Laylin prize for the best thesis in international law.

Srini Nagarajan

Srini Nagarajan | Managing Director and Head of Asia, British International Investment

Srini joined British International Investment in 2013 to lead the Asia team under the organisation’s new investment strategy.

He has the distinction of having been our first overseas employee and recently moved to Singapore to lead BIIs expansion into the Indo-Pacific region. He has been instrumental in building a high-quality portfolio in the region, which focuses across products and sectors.

Under his leadership, BII has a strong presence on the ground and the team has made successful investments in the financial services, healthcare, logistics and renewable energy sectors – including the creation of BII subsidiary Ayana Renewable Power in India, a pioneer renewable energy developer. His role includes support in the origination, execution and management of the portfolio for delivering development goals and value. In addition, he is building BII’s presence in the South-East Asian markets with a focus on climate change.

Srini started his career with Standard Chartered Bank, both in India and Southern Africa, before joining British International Investment in 1996. He has managed leasing companies in Africa and in India he managed legacy assets for value before moving into mainstream private equity investing for both British International Investment and Actis.

He has a Masters degree in Economics and a post-graduate qualification in Business Administration from Warwick School of Business.

Tan Huck Khim

Tan Huck Khim | Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Alternatives, Fullerton Fund Management

Tan Huck Khim is Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Alternatives at Fullerton Fund Management. He works closely with Fullerton’s Chief Investment Officer to manage the Investment Group and oversee portfolios and is part of the CIO office. As Head of Alternatives, Huck Khim leads the team and has oversight of all the private market portfolios. He also oversees the team’s investment process, and its suite of solutions.

Prior to joining Fullerton in 2019, Huck Khim worked for Credit Suisse’s Customised Fund Investment Group as a Partner on the Global Investment Committee, managing and investing private equity assets on behalf of its international institutional clients. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was the Head of Asian Funds Investments at Schroder Ventures Group, having raised and invested in Asian private equity opportunities. Before Schroders, Huck Khim was an Associate Director of Private Equity Funds at Hermes Private Equity, where he was responsible for managing capital for some of the largest UK pensions. Huck Khim started his career with Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Special Investments where he was involved in investing in private equity funds and co-investments in Europe.

Huck Khim graduated with a degree and a Masters in Economics from the Karl-Ruprechts Universitaet, Heidelberg, Germany.

Viola Tang

Viola Tang | Senior Vice President, Sustainability Office, GIC

Viola leads a team on sustainable investment strategy and integration for GIC, a leading global investment firm. Her research areas include climate solutions, decarbonisation pathways, transition finance and carbon markets. She began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley where she covered power, utilities and infrastructure and completed over USD 80Bn of M&A and capital markets transactions. Subsequently Viola was an Investment Analyst at Victoire, a multi strategy hedge fund, managing its Emerging Asia Small- and Mid-cap strategy. Prior to GIC, Viola focused on energy transition fund strategy, corporate M&A and new market expansion at Fullerton Fund Management.

 

Viola holds dual Bachelors in Business Administration and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a PhD candidate in Sustainable Finance at Oxford University.

Ziad Haider

Ziad Haider is a Partner and Global Director of Geopolitical Risk at McKinsey & Company based in Singapore.

He counsels boards and leaders of multinational corporations on how to build out their capabilities to understand, monitor, and mitigate geopolitical risk.

Prior to joining McKinsey, he served in a range of senior roles in the U.S. Government. He served as Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State supporting U.S. businesses globally on managing market access, political, and regulatory risks; Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State on geo-economics; a White House Fellow in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice; and a Foreign Policy Aide in the U.S. Senate.

He practiced international law in India, Singapore, and Washington, D.C. advising on export control and sanctions issues and cross-border investment disputes and worked with human rights organizations in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan.

His writings have appeared in the Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and Nikkei Asia.

Haider serves on the board of advisors of the International Rescue Committee, a leading global humanitarian and development organization, and is a non-resident senior advisor with the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS).

Haider received his B.A. from Yale College, M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School, and J.D. from Georgetown Law and was a Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia.

Proficient in Mandarin and French and fluent in Urdu, he grew up in Karachi, Pakistan.
